The Advocacy Imperative

This 90 minute webinar covers how you can be an advocate for adult day services and for your center’s participants. Advocacy seeks to ensure that people, particularly those who are most vulnerable in society, are able to have their voice heard on issues that are important to them. Senate and Assembly representatives often strive to pay attention to the voices of their constituents. However, advocating at the state level often requires an engaged membership, and strong advocacy efforts can make more voices heard and impact legislation or policy decisions. The importance of participation by adult day service providers in the legislative process cannot be overemphasized. You can – and do – make a difference!
